The timing of winterization depends on the last field treatment of a crop. This varies greatly from farm to farm and is related to the crop rotation of the farm. However, winterization should take place before the first minus temperatures to prevent damage to the sprayer caused by frost. If you can store your crop protection sprayer in a frost-proof place, you don't need to protect it against sub-zero temperatures. Thorough cleaning and maintenance is sufficient here.
