The book printer is the most common bark beetle on spruce trees in Central Europe and is preferably found in the thick-barked area (lower trunk area).
Special ampoule, which safely catches the book printer using species-specific attractants!
Long lasting effect (release independent of the weather, therefore ideal attractant release) with detection of the filling level.
Detection: brown drill dust on the bark, drill holes, crown discoloration, needle drop, peeling of the bark!
< strong>Trap location: For monitoring at endangered locations (sunny edges),
Locations with previous infestation in standing or lying wood
Trap distances: 20 - 50 m, safety distances: 10 - 15 m to healthy spruces
Date: from spring (16 - 18C) before swarming season,
1. Flight time from April/May, 2nd flight time: July and 2-3 sibling broods
Effect: approx. 6 - 8 weeks, then hang the second ampoule in the trap
