Which transformer is right for me?At When selecting the transformer, several things must be taken into account: performance of the drinking bowl heater, performance of the heating cable and safety buffer.
Example:
2 drinking troughs with a heating output of 100 watts = 200 watts, 2 frost protection heating cables 1.5m ~ a 15 watts = 30 watts, 15% safety buffer = 35 watts->~ required transformer 300 watts
- transforms the voltage from 230 volts to 24 volts
- short circuit - and overload protection through an easily replaceable vehicle fuse in the output circuit
- The transformers are additionally protected against overheating by an integrated temperature limiter (automatic reset after cooling down)
