Bale handling - how to do it right
With bale forks and grippers from FAIE/Schneider, you have the right tools for optimal handling of grass and silage bales. The XL bale gripper can handle round and square bales from 500 mm to 2,200 mm in diameter safely and quickly without any adjustment work. Two 180 bar hydraulic cylinders, with their large and rigid lever arms, provide high holding force. Pivoting gripping hands made of bent, thick-walled steel tubing, with spring support, securely and gently wrap around the various bale cross-sections and the silage film.
It's also possible to go smaller. The standard round bale grab from FAIE/Schneider is also ideal for picking up hay, straw, silage, and silage bales. Its specialty is round and square bales with diameters from 900 to 1,500 mm. The square bale grab can handle an even wider range of bales, from 800 to 2,000 mm.
In any case, with every bale clamp from FAIE/Schneider you can create stable stacks and avoid loss of space.
However, if bales are primarily intended for transport, the hydraulic bale fork comes into play. It can handle bales just as large as the round bale grab. It can be attached to both the three-point linkage and the Euro hitch of the front loader. Attached rotating plastic tubes protect the silage film.
If the farmer primarily transports bales of the same size, a mechanical bale fork is an interesting option. We can offer this as a cost-effective alternative in proven FAIE/Schneider quality.
